School-Provided Resources

Ontario Tech provides support for students when they are experiencing difficulties. These include:

  • short-term counseling and therapy services

  • self-help resources 

  • single session supports

  • distress drop-ins

  • group therapy

  • peer support and workshops

On-Campus Mental Health Events + Workshops + More

Throughout the academic year, there are currently a number of events and support groups hosted on campus to promote the mental health and wellness of the students. Some of these supports are:

  • Campus Connected

  • Mental Health First Aid

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Skills Group

  • Depression Support Group

  • Elevate Connections Journey

  • One meal at a time

  • Mid-week mindfulness group

EngSoc Initiatives

​Here is a list of some of the activities by EngSoc:

  • Puppy yoga with Enactus: Check it out on Instagram -> @ot_engsoc

  • Care packages: curated essentials to boost mental health

  • Cocoa & cram: free hot cocoa, study sessions, board games, coloring, etc.

  • Review and Refresh
