Internal Engineering Competition

Showcase your engineering skills. Compete. Innovate. Win.

What is the IEC?

The Internal Engineering Competition (IEC) is Ontario Tech’s annual showcase of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving. Students form teams and tackle real engineering challenges across multiple unique categories. Winners from IEC go on to represent Ontario Tech at the Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC).

IEC is designed to test both technical expertise and soft skills like communication, leadership, and creativity. Whether you’re a first-year just starting out, or a senior student looking to push your limits, there’s a competition stream tailored for you.

Competition Categories

Re-Engineering
