Welcome back to another exciting semester at Ontario Tech! As your President, I want you to know that EngSoc is here to support you every step of the way. University can be overwhelming at times, but we’re here to make sure you have opportunities to grow, connect, and enjoy your time both inside and outside the classroom. This year, we’re bringing you a wide range of events designed with students in mind. From mental health destress events that give you the chance to relax and recharge, to internal engineering competitions that let you put your skills and creativity to the test, there’s something for everyone to be part of. We’re also continuing to host industry nights and industry tours, giving you valuable opportunities to meet professionals, make connections, and see firsthand the kind of paths your degree can open. And of course, we’ll close out the year with our Gala — a night to come together, celebrate our achievements, and make memories that last long after exams are done. Beyond these events, EngSoc is also working hard to create more opportunities for conferences and to build stronger connections with other schools. We want to make sure you’re not only supported here at Ontario Tech, but also part of a larger community of engineers who are learning, innovating, and pushing each other to grow. Every initiative we take on this year has one purpose: to bring students closer together and to make your experience as meaningful and impactful as possible.EngSoc is more than just a student society — it’s our community. Whether you’re looking to develop professionally, meet new people, or simply have fun and take a break from the stress of classes, we’ve got your back. I encourage you to get involved, share your ideas, and take advantage of everything we have planned. Together, let’s make this semester not only successful, but unforgettable.
