ENGINEERING SOCIETY
To assist the Vice President of Social in organizing and executing successful social events for the Engineering Society.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Vice President of Social to develop a comprehensive social events plan that aligns with the society's goals and values.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers to assist with social events.
Coordinate with other directors and committees within the Engineering Society to ensure a cohesive and well-organized social events experience.
Develop and implement event marketing strategies to attract and engage members.
Develop and distribute event materials, including schedules, invitations, and event-specific details.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as necessary to secure venues, catering, transportation, and other event-related services.
Act as a point of contact for members during social events, providing information and support as needed.
Conduct post-event evaluations and provide feedback for future informed social event planning.
Time commitment: The time commitment for this role will vary throughout the year, with a heavier workload leading up to and during social events. On average, the Social Events Director can expect to dedicate up to 3 hours per week during the event planning phase.
Meeting schedule: The Social Events Director is required to attend weekly meetings with the Vice President of Social and other relevant directors during the event planning phase. During the rest of the year, the Social Events Director is required to attend bi-weekly meetings with the Vice President of Social and the other Social Events Directors.
