The First Year Directors will oversee outreach initiatives and act as the spokesperson for the first year engineering students.

Responsibilities:  

• Include and not limited to planning and organizing first year social events

• Preparing informative materials for student success

• Establishing connection between EngSoc and first year engineering students, becoming a go-to person for first year students to reach out to EngSoc.

• As a spokesperson, communicating directly with the President and EngSoc regarding any first year related discussions.

Time Commitment: The role entails up to 3 hours per week with any event/material planning, meetings and preparation. Please note extra hours may occasionally be required due to potential large scale EngSoc events.

Meetings: The First Year Representatives are required to have biweekly progress meetings with the President. As well, they are required to attend a minimum of one EngSoc team meeting per month.
