Director of Product Merchandising

The Director of Product Merchandising is responsible for designing and creating custom patches, merchandise, pins, and other promotional items for the Engineering Society. The objective is to develop visually appealing and high-quality products that align with the Society's branding and effectively promote its events and initiatives. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize graphic design skills and tools to create eye-catching and visually appealing designs for patches, merchandise, pins, and other promotional items.

  • Ensure designs align with the Society's branding guidelines and effectively communicate key messages. 

  • Working with the VP Marketing, coordinate with external suppliers or manufacturers to produce the custom merchandise.

  • Manage the ordering, production, and quality control processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. 

  • Work closely with VPs to design and create custom merchandise for special EngSoc events such as the Internal Engineering Competition, hackathon, certifications, etc.


Time Commitment: The Director of Product Merchandising can expect to dedicate up to 3 hours per week to design work, coordination with suppliers and event support. Additional time may be required during specific event periods or when managing new merchandise releases 


Meeting Schedule: The Director of Product Merchandising is required to attend bi-weekly meetings to discuss merchandise strategies, coordinate efforts, and align merchandise initiatives with the Society's overall goals.
