Competitions Director (Logistics)

Competitions Director in Logistics ensures efficient logistical operations throughout the events, providing participants, guest sponsors, judges, and volunteers with a well-organized and comfortable environment and successful project development. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Securing a suitable venue for competitions such as IEC, ensuring it has the necessary infrastructure and equipment required.  

  • Coordinate the logistics planning process such as distribution of resources throughout the competition. 

  • Handle catering and refreshments, ensuring that participants, mentors, and judges are provided with meals, snacks, and beverages during the competition. 

  • Liaise with sponsors and vendors, ensuring they have the necessary information, materials, and space for showcasing their products or services at the event. 

  • Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and management of event volunteers. This includes assigning roles, providing training if needed, and ensuring volunteers have the necessary resources. 

  • Competitions Directors should be available or arrange for on-site support, addressing any logistical issues that may arise, coordinating with facility staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the event. 

  • Help manage the budget allocated for the event, ensuring expenses are properly tracked and resources are utilized efficiently. 


Time commitment: The time commitment for the VP Logistics can vary based on the number and scale of events being organized. On average, you can expect a commitment of up to 3 hours per week. 


Meetings: Bi-weekly with the VP Internal
